A New Pedestrian Bridge for the Park

The Baldwin Manor Association received a grant in the amount of $7500 from PNC Charitable Trusts to put towards the replacement of the new foot bridge. In addition to the grant, we had equipment donations as well as $700 in cash donations from community members. Many volunteers gave their time to dismantle the old bridge and install the new one. It took 9+ days over the course of several weeks to complete the project. Volunteers gave 175+ hours of labor. We would like to recognize the following:

Sean Crane, Bruce Barcic, Steve Maloney, Robby Greenberger, Chris Kozar, Will Snyder, Tristan Lucchetti, Derek Goss, Mike Quallich, Sherrill Shepler, Tom Platts, Michelle and Pat Crawley, Paul Pantages, Dean Pantages, Norb Kuta, Dave Fisher, Richard Crane, Paul Mongelluzzo, Taylor Rental, Crane Landscaping, and Woehler Landscape Supply.

The new bridge is 6 feet by 20 feet wide, constructed with a galvanized steel base anchored into 18 inch footers and decked with treated hard wood. The simple open span design will allow the storm water to flow more naturally through the channel and prevent further erosion of that area. Together, we were able to complete this project for our community!
